The Economic Case for Polybalm
Health economist and former NICE committee member Prithwiraj Das, MBBS, MSc International Health Policy (LSE), developed an economic model showing that Polybalm prophylaxis is cost-neutral at a 10% nail toxicity incidence rate and cost-saving above it. At real-world incidence rates of up to 89%, the intervention yields net healthcare resource savings. Presented at ONS 2026.
